Bio

 Coach Retzlaff is in his 22nd season as Head Golf Coach of the Spartan golf team.  A Spartan Alumnus, he received his Associate of Arts degree at M State and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master’s Degree from North Dakota State University.  Jason has led the Spartans to being one of the elite two-year golf programs in the nation.  In the 2011-12 season, the Spartans won the NJCAA Div. III Men’s National Championship by 18 strokes.  The Spartans have also finished in the top 5 nationally in ten of the last eleven seasons, finishing 3rd in 2016,2017, 2019, and 2021. Retzlaff is also an 8-time MCAC and Region XIII Coach of the Year and was named the 2012 NJCAA Div. III National Coach of the Tournament. Jason has coached 44 men and women that have competed at the national level, 15 All-Americans, and one individual national champion (Wyatt Blomseth 2021).  The Spartans have had numerous players move on to compete at four-year colleges, including three at the Division I level. 

Jason resides in Fergus Falls with his wife, Stephanie and sons Charlie (9) and Roy (5).
