Bio
Steve King is Co-Athletic Director and an instructor in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. King graduated from Eagle Bend High School in 1983 and is a proud alumnus of M State, graduating with his Associate in Arts degree in 1985. He also was a student athlete and played two years of football for the Fergus Falls Community College Spartans. After Fergus Falls, King received his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s degree in health, Physical Education and Recreation from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. King spent 15 years as an assistant football coach and 10 years as the head football coach of the Spartans. He was also head softball coach of the Lady Spartan softball team for 12 years. Steve and his wife, Marci, have four children: Joel, Marshall, Olivia and Levi.
