Bio

Steve King is in his 10th year as the head coach of the Spartans. He graduated from Eagle Bend High School in 1983 and played two years for the Fergus Falls Community College Spartans, was a captain and named the most valuable player of the 1984 team. King was an assistant coach for the Spartans for 15 years, 14 as the defensive coordinator, before going to Itasca Community College for the 2006 season where they compiled a 3-6 record. From 1994 to 1999 he was the head baseball coach and the defensive coordinator at the University of Minnesota Crookston. He and his wife, Marci, have four children: Joel, Marshall, Olivia and Levi.
