Spartan Men Beaten at the Buzzer Again

For the second time in three games the M State Men's Basketball team suffered a loss at the buzzer when they were beaten by a half court shot in Thief River Falls on Wednesday.  The final score was Northland 68, M State 65.

M State featured a balanced attack with four players in double digits, led by Chris Tungseth with 16 points.  Tungseth hit 4-of-8 from beyond the arc and was 5-for-11 from the field.  Freshman guard Austin Miller added 14 points and 6 assists, Joel Harris III had 12 points and Samuel Priem added 10 points.  Demetrius Roberts finished with 9 points and Isaiah Lemke led the rebounding effort, grabbing 9 boards.

The Spartans shot 37.5% (12-32) from 3-point range and made 13-of-15 (86.67%) free throws in the contest.  They also had 14 assists on their 20 made baskets.
