M State Spartan Men's Team Wins Triangular at Maple River Golf Course in Mapleton, ND

The M State men's golf team won a triangular at Maple River Golf Course in Mapleton, North Dakota of Friday with a team score of 330.  Mayville State was second with a 341 and Turtle Mountain Community College finished third with a score of 401.  Nathan Hillman was the medalist, winning a two-hole playoff against teammate Erik Bjorndahl.  The two tied for the low score of the day with 79's.  

"It was great to see Nathan and Erik shoot in the 70's today," commented Spartan Head Coach Jason Retzlaff.  "Nathan was solid all day and hit the ball very well.  I was happy to see it come together for him.  Erik had a tremendous back nine and really played with confidence.  Our team is showing some good depth as we head into the stretch run of the fall season."

Charlie Fuder came in with an 80, Markus Nelson an 81, Riley Stromlund an 82, Brock Thompson an 87 and Adam Vatnsdal a 90 to complete the scoring for M State.
