NDSCS shot 51.4% (36-70) from the field on Wednesday night and registered a 79-40 victory over the M State lady Spartans. Shania Nichols VanNett led all scorers with 24 points and Michelle Arens had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Quinn Neppl was also in double digits with 10 points. VanNett led the team with 4 assists and also pulled down 5 rebounds. Savanna Jones had a team high 6 boards.
The Spartans, playing without point guard Jayna Gronewold due to an injury, had only one player in double figures. Kiera Cox led the way with 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Mo Bugbee had 8 points, Mia Blaskowski added 7 points and a team high 7 rebounds, and Madi Foss contributed 7 points. M State had a 36-28 advantage on the boards.
The lady Spartans (2-2) will host Minnesota North College – Rainy River at 1:00pm Saturday. The 2001 Women's National Championship Team will be inducted into the Legends Hall of Fame at M State following the games.
