Spartans Held to Just 2 Runs and 4 Hits in Double Header Loss to Warriors
Ridgewater pitching held M State to just four hits and a pair of runs in double header action in Fergus Falls on Saturday afternoon as the visiting Warriors posted wins of 9-1 and 14-1 over the Spartans. Ridgewater collected 13 hits in the first game and 11 hits in game two.
Gabe Rohman (6IP, 5K, 2BB, 1H, 1R, 0ER) was the winning pitcher in the opener. Andrew Prieve (2-3, 3RBI) led the offensive attack for the Warriors. Carson Bevill (1-3, 2B) had the only M State hit.
Elliot Domagala drove in four runs in the second game with 2 hits in 4 at bats. Garrett Kelly was 3-for-3 at the plate. Tyson Barthel went 2-for-2 with a run batted in to lead M State. Winning pitcher Brennan Fictum surrendered just 3 hits and one run over five innings, striking out three and walking one.
Next weekend the Spartans will go to Brainerd for a double header with Central Lakes on Saturday and then will host the Raiders in Fergus Falls on Sunday in a pair of games.
