Aidan Johnson Ties for 9th Place to Lead Spartan Golfers at Jimmie Invite

"It was one of those tournaments where we couldn't get any momentum and struggled to get the ball in the hole," stated M State head coach Jason Retzlaff. "We had some stretches on day 1 where we played well but seemed to get ambushed by some big numbers. This is a great group to work with and we will get back to practice and bounce back next week."

McGovern was 11th individually with a 155 (75-80) and Nelson tied for 16th with a 161 (79-82). Max Noffsinger of Jamestown was the medalist with a 145 (73-72).
"Aidan Johnson had a very good day for us," noted Coach Retzlaff. "It is fun to watch him drive the golf ball with power and accuracy. He has played some tremendous golf in our first three tournaments."
