The win improves Minnesota West to 24-2 on the season and 10-1 against MCAC southern Division opponents.
Olivia Hayenga recorded a double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Madisyn Huisman scored 17 points and Dannyn Peterson added 16. Tia Murray had a team high 14 rebounds and Brooklyn Scheitel-Taylor led the lady Jays with 6 steals. Minnesota West shot 45% (31-69) from the field and won the rebounding battle 49-38.
Emily Dehler's double double (19 points, 14 rebounds) and five assists led M State. Lindsey Kurz finished with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Keely Foley scored 14 points and had 3 steals.
The lady Spartans are now 10-14 overall and 2-9 against MCAC Southern Division teams. They will host Rochester at one o'clock Saturday
