Lady Spartans Defeat Trinity Bible College in Overtime

A 3-point field goal by Felicity LeBlanc forced overtime on Wednesday night at M State in Fergus Falls and allowed the Spartans the opportunity to pull out a thrilling 68-64 victory over Trinity Bible College. The game was 57-57 at the end of regulation and outscored the Lions 11-7 in the overtime session.
LeBlanc scored 34 points on 13-of-22 shooting, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. She completed her double-double with 10 rebounds. Madi Foss also had a double-double with 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Kaitlyn Olson (11 point, 8 rebounds, 5 assists) and Tenley Epema (10 points, 4 rebounds) were also in double digits. Kharmon Wells dished out a team high 6 assists.
The lady Spartans shot 40% (24-60) from the field and made 6-of-14 (42.9%) 3-pointers. They also made 14-of-19 free throws (73.7%). M state forced 24 Trinity Bible turnovers and recorded 17 steals as a team, while assisting on 17 of 24 made baskets.
Trinity Bible was led by 23 points and 13 rebounds from Madeline Berkey. Marlyssa Ledgerwood had 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Jaelle Fischer added 11 points off the bench, making 3-of-7 3's, and Angie Soto had a solid line in the box score with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
M State (6-10) will play at Ridgewater on Saturday afternoon.
